OctaflowThe short version: dictation is free. Octaflow Pro renews monthly or yearly until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in the app. Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Payments aren’t refundable, except where the law says otherwise. Octaflow uses AI and can make mistakes. It asks before anything that sends, deletes, buys or posts, but you’re responsible for what you ask it to do and what you approve.
These terms are an agreement between you and Tuned Tech LLC, a Wyoming company (“we”, “us”), the maker of Octaflow. They cover the Octaflow app for Mac, your Octaflow account, Octaflow Pro and this website (together, “Octaflow”). By using Octaflow, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Octaflow.
1. Your account
Dictation works without an account. To ask Octaflow to do things, you sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 13 to use Octaflow, and old enough to make a binding contract where you live (or have a parent or guardian’s permission) to buy Octaflow Pro. Keep access to your Apple or Google account secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your Octaflow account.
2. Plans and payment
- Dictation is free.
- New accounts get a small one-time allowance so the first tries during setup work. After that, asking Octaflow to do things needs Octaflow Pro.
- Octaflow Pro costs $20 a month, or $192 a year, in US dollars, plus tax where applicable.
You upgrade inside the app, which opens a payment page run by our payment processor, Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and you’re charged the current price for your plan until you cancel. If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and the new price starts at your next renewal. If a payment fails and can’t be collected after retries, your subscription ends and your account goes back to the free plan.
3. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel anytime from Settings › Account › Manage Subscription in the app. When you cancel, it won’t renew again, and Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. This includes partly used months or years. If you live somewhere that gives you a legal right to cancel and get a refund (for example a 14-day right of withdrawal), nothing in these terms takes that right away. If you think you were charged by mistake, email us and we’ll look into it.
4. Usage and fair use
Each task uses AI models, which cost us money. Every plan includes a usage allowance: generous and monthly for Pro, one-time for new accounts and promotional codes. When an allowance runs out, asking Octaflow to do things pauses until it resets or you upgrade. Dictation keeps working. To keep Octaflow working for everyone, we may also limit how many requests can run at once or per minute, and we may limit or suspend accounts that use Octaflow in automated, abusive or unusual volumes.
5. Octaflow uses AI, and AI makes mistakes
Octaflow acts on your Mac when you ask it to: it clicks, types, opens and changes things in your apps and on websites, much like you would. It’s powered by AI models, and AI can make mistakes. It can mishear you, misunderstand a request, misread what’s on screen, pick the wrong item, or act on the wrong app, file, message or person. Before anything that sends, submits, deletes, buys or posts, it shows what it’s about to do and waits for your yes, but it can’t catch every mistake, and some actions may not be recognised as needing your yes.
By using Octaflow, you agree that:
- You stay in charge. Watch what Octaflow does, read what it asks you to approve before you say yes, and check the result when it matters. You can stop a task at any time.
- You’re responsible for what you ask for and what you approve, including messages sent, purchases made, settings changed and files moved or deleted in your name.
- Don’t rely on it where a mistake could cause serious harm: medical, legal, financial, emergency or safety decisions, or anything you can’t undo or afford to lose. Keep backups of important files.
- Other services are their own. Octaflow works inside other companies’ apps and websites. Their terms still apply to you, and we aren’t responsible for them or for changes that stop Octaflow working with them.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses caused by actions Octaflow takes on your Mac at your request or with your approval, or by relying on its answers. See section 9.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Octaflow to break the law or anyone’s rights, to send spam, to harass people, to get into accounts or systems you aren’t allowed to use, or to get around the limits of Octaflow or other services. Don’t try to reverse engineer, resell or overload our service, or misuse promotional codes. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If the account is paid, we’ll tell you why, unless the law or safety stops us.
7. A new product
Octaflow is new. Features, allowances and plans may change, and some things may not work as expected. From time to time we may give out promotional codes for free access with a limited allowance. They’re for the person they were given to, have no cash value, and we may end them.
8. Your content and our software
Your requests, dictation and files are yours. We use them only as described in the privacy policy, to run Octaflow for you. Octaflow itself, including the app, the website and the name, belongs to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your Macs while you follow these terms. The app updates itself to stay current.
9. Warranty and liability
Octaflow is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or right for any particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or business, and our total liability for any claim about Octaflow is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can’t be waived by law.
You agree to cover any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that others bring against us because of how you used Octaflow or broke these terms, to the extent the law allows.
10. Ending these terms
You can stop using Octaflow anytime, and ask us to delete your account (cancel any subscription first). We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or stop offering Octaflow. If we stop offering Pro, we’ll refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Octaflow changes. We’ll update the date below, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Octaflow after that, the new terms apply.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, apart from its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Wyoming, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there. Please email us first; most things can be sorted out quickly.
